Ascension of our Lord Sunday - a single worship weekend - with a Special Meeting of the Congregation to immediately follow the service. Today is the day the Lord has made and we are glad in it!
Starting the service is a prelude by Deb Black at the organ (00:03:54). Short Announcements are followed by the reading of the Holy Scriptures by Assisting Minister, Di Michalski (00:17:06). The Holy Gospel is read (00:21:48) and the sermon message by Pr. Jordan (00:23:02) is given. No special music for today, but we celebrate holy communion and pray for the world, the church, our neighborhood and neighbors: our siblings in Christ Jesus.
Thanks be to God. St. Mary's congregational membership in attendance voted to officially call Pr. Jordan as the Full-Time, Lead Pastor and officially call Pastor Debbie Hartfield, who's been on a 2 year term call, to a permanent Part-Time, Associate Pastor position. The installation date(s) are to be announced later, but Thanks to our Call Committee, our MET Team, our prayerful membership and God! for this resolution to a very long time without leadership in place.
