On May 7th, PASTOR JIM SHADDUCK was the recipient of an award in gratefulness for his help in organizing CUSH in February of 2000, and for his nine years of service to this organization dedicated to issues of social justice.
CUSH (Congregations United to Serve Humanity) advocated and fought to keep funding for the After School Programs and for bus service to the Prairie Ridge Senior Center. CUSH task forces have advocated for a shelter for the homeless, adequate mental health services in Kenosha County and for screening for mental health in the schools because of the suicide rate among teens, safety in our schools, and emergency assistance to those in need.

Currently CUSH is advocating for the state wide WISDOM organization in the areas of: health care reform, treatment instead of prison, and equitable funding for schools. Several members from Kenosha traveled to
Madison to advocate for these state wide issues as People Of Faith.
